池間島和池間大橋

池間島（いけまじま）は、宮古島の北西1.5kmに位置し、沖縄県宮古島市平良池間に属する島である。かつては遠洋漁業が盛んで、カツオ漁が有名であった。昭和50年代に排他的経済水域が設定されたこと等により遠洋漁業は廃れたが、現在でも漁業が中心産業であり、鰹節はこの島の特産品となっている。1992年（平成4年）に池間大橋が完成。近年では観光も主要産業。
